Why hire The Dukes of Circuit Avenue Band?

Good question! First of all, you get the electrifying vocals and dynamic stage presence of Maria Stukey, a veteran of Cape Cod, Martha’s Vineyard and Nantucket private events, parties and weddings. In addition to her work on the Cape & Islands, Maria has opened for Sawyer Brown and Joan Rivers, headlined galas with Jay Leno, and performed for Rod Stewart, Serena Williams, Donald Trump, Shirley MacLaine, William Shatner, and many others.

The live band is driven by the drumming of Jeremy Driesen, a veteran touring and concert drummer with over a decade’s worth of gigs on Cape Cod, Martha’s Vineyard and Nantucket (check out Jeremy’s drumming resume in the About Us section).

The local band is filled out by an A-List of highly-trained professionals from Cape Cod, Martha’s Vineyard, Nantucket and beyond, with an aggregate resume of work with big name artists that covers pop, rock, classic Motown, jazz, rap, reggae, Latin, and everything in between.

The Dukes band care deeply about your private event, function, party or wedding and their attention to musical detail is unrivaled. They see to it that your requested songs are performed flawlessly and with great sensitivity to the original version, making for a show-stopping performance and a spectacular live event.

The Dukes would love to play your wedding or other private event.

Who We Are

KATRINA DELGADILLO

Katrina has spent her entire adult life working in live music production, putting her at the musical helm of over 2,000 weddings and other private events on Martha’s Vineyard and elsewhere, including venues ranging from the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston to the Mar-a-Lago club in Palm Beach to the beaches of the Bahamas. Taking note of every detail, Katrina offers her clients guidance from start to finish and can often be found on site, making sure every musical aspect is executed as planned.

Over the years, Katrina has had experience planning and producing weddings and other private events for clients including Vice President Joe Biden, the Bush family, Donald Trump, Michael Straham, Ali Larter, the Kennedy family, The Martha’s Vineyard Preservation Trust, The Lois Pope Foundation, and The Jimmy Fund, to name a few.

Katrina played a crucial role in the development of the private events music business on Martha’s Vineyard. Her love of detailed planning led her to a new adventure, working as the real estate lead for President Obama and the First Family’s vacation on Martha’s Vineyard. The coordination effort was a welcome challenge, but her love of music has brought her back to producing live music.

Running is Katrina’s second passion and she is often found in the early hours out on the bike paths of Martha’s Vineyard. When she isn’t working or running, Katrina finds time to travel the world and volunteer in orphanages from Kenya to Bolivia.

JEREMY DRIESEN

Jeremy Driesen has been a working drummer, bandleader and musical director since the age of 13 and has played with artists including Billy Idol, Scandal, Richie Havens, Gary US Bonds, Chuck Berry, Lesley Gore, Peter Noone, Bo Diddley, and Lou Christie. He has performed at pretty much every music venue on Martha’s Vineyard and has also played Carnegie Hall, The Royal Albert Hall, Radio City Music Hall, Three Rivers Stadium, and too many dive bars to mention.

Jeremy has been profiled in The New York Times and Celebrity Access, featured in Real Simple magazine, and has spoken at Harvard Business School, Harvard University, George Washington University, New York University, and Berklee College of Music.

In the corporate world, Jeremy has presented celebrity talent for clients including Time Inc., Samsung, Morgan Stanley, Staples, Lotus IBM, Cantor Fitzgerald, Pepsi, MetLife, and many others.

Aside from business, Jeremy is an avid photographer, has photographed Martha’s Vineyard extensively, and served as a volunteer firefighter in Chilmark. He considers The Ritz in Oak Bluffs to be more or less the center of the universe.

Questions We Often Hear

I’ve submitted my deposit and signed contract. Now what?
Now the fun starts! But realistically, it’s going to take a while to be able to finalize all the details outlined in the “Client Questionnaire,” so we suggest taking it one thing at a time. Use the Questionnaire as a checklist so you know what to keep in mind as details and your other vendors start making final decisions.
How many songs do you play in a night? Do we have to provide you a list of every song we want to hear at our event?
Every event has its own unique timing and details that can affect the number of songs that are played in a 4-hour period. Depending how long dinner lasts or if there is a formal cake cutting or speeches, details such as these have an impact on the number of songs performed at a given event. You do not have to select every song to be performed; in fact, we ask only that you provide us a guide of your most and least favorite artists and genres. If there is a specific song that you cannot imagine the band not performing, please share that with us. Same goes with those you do not want performed; if there is a specific song you do NOT want to hear, please let us know.
Does the band take breaks during the 4-hour event?
Yes, the band will take two 10-minute breaks within the contracted 4-hour event; however, there will be pre-recorded music during those times unless it isn’t appropriate; i.e., if a toast being given. We time the breaks to occur at times when dancing is not the focus, such as during dinner or speeches. The break times are determined once the timeline is finalized.
I would like the band to perform a song not found on your song list. Is that possible?
Yes, the band will learn up to two new songs for your event. Please send us the song title, artist and a YouTube link or MP3 of the specific version you would like us to learn three weeks prior to your event. We ask for a link or MP3 to be sure we learn the version that you like.
Can you provide a microphone and speakers for our ceremony or cocktail hour?
The cost of the reception band includes the full PA system and your use of our microphones during those four hours. Additional use of the speaker system outside of the contracted time is subject to availability and additional charges may apply. Please inquire for more information.
We’ve only booked you for our wedding reception so far, but we’d like to add ceremony and/or cocktail music. Is it possible to book these services after the initial contract has been executed?
Sure, we understand that as the planning starts falling into place, you might need to make adjustments to the original contract. Please contact us for musical options.
Will you provide a stage and electricity if our venue does not provide it?
No, we provide the speaker system and instruments necessary for us to be able to perform. If your event is under a tent or on a beach, we require a hard, even surface to set up on. We don’t necessarily require a stage on risers but flooring is required. As for power, we require 3 dedicated 20-amp circuits. If your venue or tent company has any questions, please have them contact us directly.
Do we tip the band? If yes, do we have to give them cash after our event?
Tipping the band is absolutely up to you, our client, and never expected but always appreciated. If your experience with us exceeds your expectations and you wish to give the band a tip, you can do so at your event or afterwards by calling or emailing us; we’ll be sure to get the gratuity to the band members.
